This policy explains what personal data EYFS Play Planner collects, why, and how it's handled.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and password (stored securely, encrypted, via Supabase Auth).
  • Payment data: handled directly by Stripe — we do not see or store your card details. We keep a record that a payment was made and its status.
  • Usage data: number of activity generations used, and the inputs you enter into the generator (age group, theme, resources, etc.) so the app can create your activity plan.
  • Technical data: basic log data such as IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not knowingly collect personal data about children through this app — activity inputs relate to age groups and themes, not named children.

3. Why we collect it

  • To create and manage your account
  • To track free-use limits and grant full access after payment
  • To generate the activity plans you request
  • To respond to support queries
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations

4. Who we share it with

  • Supabase — our authentication and database provider, which stores account and usage data.
  • Stripe — our payment processor, which handles payment details directly.
  • We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to meet accounting and legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data

7. Cookies

We currently only use essential cookies needed to keep you logged in — no tracking or advertising cookies.
